Learn Acrylics is a five-day painting course written progressively, and designed for you to learn at your own pace. In the beginning of the course, you will learn how to choose artists materials that best fit your needs and how to properly use them. You will learn how to tame the acrylic beast, and mix beautiful colors using the exclusive Anti-Color Wheel mixing guide. The end goal is to create paintings by using your own imagination. This course is perfect for those who are curious about painting, novice artists, and seasoned artists who wish to learn an alternative perspective.

The first day is about choosing art materials that will work best for you. Each artist is different and require different tools, as will you. Learn Acrylics introduces you to a variety of different acrylic paint manufacturers, pigments, easels, brushes and more. On this day you will also learn how to use your tools you have chosen. This is extremely important, as it will save your body from aches and pains, and save you money on materials. Learning good habits will enable you to paint for a lifetime.

On the second day, you will mix colors by using the Anti-Color Wheel. This is a great way to be introduced to color mixing, and create clean, bold colors quickly and effectively.

During the next three days, you will accomplish three paintings. Each painting was progressively written from the first day at the bunny slopes to the fifth day, your masterpiece. By the fifth day, you will paint on your own volition. The first piece is where develop your dexterity of the use of materials, especially with the brush and acrylic paint. You will learn how to correct mistakes, change areas of the picture and finish the painting.

The four day, you will accomplish a second piece that utilizes your skills gained from the first chapters, while progressing a bit more from the hand-holding. This is designed to show you how to visualize a picture and get that visualization onto your canvas.

On the fifth day, you will utilize all of the skills you’ve learn throughout the course. It focuses on more complex painting including distance and design. But most important, it shows you how to tell a story through your work. At the end of the fifth day, you will learn how to conserve and varnish your art to last a lifetime.
